Hey, Senior Citizens -- You Need 3 Types of Insurance!

Being a senior citizen can be tough these days.  After all, you worked hard for decades, and now you're trying to make ends meet on a fixed income with growing medical expenses.

If you want to make sure that your golden years aren't spent dealing with major financial problems, you need to sign up for these 3 types of insurance:

  1. Medicare supplement insurance

If you think basic Medicare is going to be enough to cover all of your health expenses, think again!  Medicare supplement insurance can prevent you from landing in a deep financial hole the next time you get sick or injured.

    How so?

These policies are also called "Medigap policies" because they literally fill in the gaps in your Medicare coverage.  You may not know it, but basic Medicare doesn't cover a whole lot.  In fact, things you would consider somewhat routine -- like extended hospital stays or injuries that you suffer outside the country -- aren't covered!

Even if your illness or injury isn't completely excluded, it will come with very low treatment limits.  Once you reach those limits, you're on your own.

Medigap policies won't cost you a whole lot each month, but they can literally be a lifesaver when you run out of basic Medicare coverage!

  2. Individual vision insurance

Be honest -- how good is your vision right now?  Do you find yourself squinting to see things that you could see just fine a few years ago?

Whether you need new glasses, a stronger prescription for your contact lenses, or even treatment for your cataracts, individual vision insurance can help you pay for it.  With it, you'll get to take advantage of free eye checkups, discounted prices on glasses, and a company that will pay for most (if not all!) of your serious eye treatments and procedures.

Why not just rely on Medicare supplement coverage for all of that?

Even the best supplement policy may not have all of the vision coverage that you need.  Considering that individual vision policies are very inexpensive, it's a good idea to have one.  After all, better safe than sorry!

  3. Life insurance

You may think that your fixed-income lifestyle doesn't lend itself to having a life insurance policy.  Luckily, though, there is life insurance for seniors that can fit perfectly into your retirement budget!

Life insurance for seniors is different from traditional life insurance policies, because it comes at reduced rates.  That way, you won't have to worry about leaving your heirs with a ton of debt and expenses after you're gone!

You can find all of the insurance coverage you need at!
